Today and every day we are grateful for our frontline healthcare, maintenance, and food service staff at Knollwood Military Life Plan Community who have shouldered so much over the past two years, and who will remain in harm’s way until the pandemic ends.

Through case surges and variants, through periods of high stress and loss, they continue to rise above and beyond in service to our residents and community. And they have done so at great personal risk to themselves and their loved ones.

“Our staff have been fighting on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic for almost two years, sacrificing time with their families, putting themselves in harm’s way, and working long hours to take care of others. We know our healthcare heroes are tired, but they continue to put others first and care for the residents within our community. We are deeply grateful for their hard work to keep us safe and healthy.”

MG Timothy McHale, USA (Ret.)

President and CEO, Army Distaff Foundation and Knollwood Military Life Plan Community

While COVID-19 has tested us all, no one has endured more than the brave men and women who staff our nation’s hospitals, senior living communities, and emergency departments. It is because of them—and the tireless work of healthcare heroes at Knollwood—that we remain optimistic about the future, and that we may soon put the worst of the pandemic behind us.

ADF joins with the entire community to say a heartfelt thank you for their sacrifices and commitment to excellence.
