THE ARMY DISTAFF FOUNDATION
A Better Life for Those Who Served
The Army Distaff Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that provides housing, health, and wellness services to retired military officers and their families at Knollwood Military Retirement Community, regardless of one’s ability to pay. Established in 1959, we are a top-rated provider of comprehensive, person-centered, state-of-the-art health and wellness care for 300 men and women.
As we pursue health and wellness innovations to continue delivering cutting-edge care to our residents, we are committed to sharing our success stories with senior care providers nationwide so all Americans can benefit. We continuously seek strategic partners for their expertise, advice, research, and financial support to apply and test new, transformational care approaches.
For 60 years, we have been at the cutting-edge of aging services. We are a model for providing services to the retired military and uniformed services community. Today, we care for 300 people, including veterans of World War II, Korea, and the Vietnam War.
Through Knollwood Military Retirement Community, the Army Distaff Foundation provides first-rate yet affordable housing, medical care, and wellness programs that fully accommodate every stage of aging. And when financial assistance is required, we provide it.
